While they didn't capitulate on diversity issues, I am baffled and disappointed as an alumni as to why they are paying anything at all.
Why the fuck did I contribute money to their $12 billion endowment if they are not going to use it to stand up to a fascist federal govt?

It is absolutely a thing. It was shouted at public high school students in SF as a threat. It can be used in an antisemetic way, and I think it is extremely divisive and ineffective as a slogan to advocate for Palestinean rights

This makes me so sad as I belong to a reform temple and my kids are getting an education there. Do I stay and represent my views, or leave for other pastures.

His two positions that are consistently pointed at by some Jews who are panicked / claim he is antisemitic are:
1) He believes Israel should not be a Jewish state, and
2) He wants to defund orgs that support west bank settlers / violence

But one thing that is rarely talked about with Lurie is that besides being a billionaire he is the son of a Rabbi. It informs how he goes about diplomacy - that is, he is non confrontational.
He also cares deeply about the city and its people.
