This may be my new social media home… if I *need* a new social media home that is. FB needs to go, and I suppose Instagram as well, since they are owned by the same entity. Maybe I should just go outside…

This list is so long and taking up so much real estate in his speech it’s almost like they want to distract from their massive cuts to Medicaid

RIP U.S. Department of Education. Education Secretary Linda McMahon introduced herself to department employees with an email calling on them to join her in a “historic final mission” to downsize the agency and shift control to the states.

Wow!
So 1+1 really does equal 2.

The Texas measles outbreak is hitting the area with the highest vaccine exemption rates. Shocking—if you ignore science.

After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.
Mark Hamill posting rebellious content in a battle against a dictator and his robotic sidekick is the most Star Wars shit ever.

Leonard Peltier, a Native American rights activist, left federal prison on Tuesday after nearly 50 years behind bars. His prosecution has been criticized as unjust for decades. In January, Joe Biden commuted his sentence before leaving office. Here’s what to know about the case.
What to Know About Leonard Peltier, Activist Released From Prison by Biden
Mr. Peltier’s murder conviction and two life sentences, stemming from a 1975 shootout with F.B.I. agents on a reservation, have been widely criticized.

I spent five entire hours down an Ancestry.com rabbit hole! I have created my family tree and populated it as far as I can for one day. With any luck, more details will arrive and I can fill in more blanks!

I just watched the documentary “What We Left Behind:Looking Back At Star Trek:Deep Space Nine” and am more teary-eyed than I should probably admit. I loved that show with every part of myself. It was so far ahead of its time, and criminally underrated and under appreciated. It meant everything.

Still alive. Still raising dairy goats, chickens and children in suburban San Bernardino County…

Winds have been active East of us (we’re in Chino) today. They just started kicking up around here again. The Monkeys did a lot of yard clean up out back this afternoon, but now stuff is flying around again. Husband is dealing with organizing GasCo crews to help areas of need. Helicopters overhead.

The winds here are terrible. Stuff banging against the house all night. No sleep. Worry for our animals. No fire near us, thankfully, but so much worry for all of our friends who have been evacuated or are on evacuation watch. Please don’t drive if you don’t have to. Stay safe. I love you.

Day #2 of no FB or Insta. Part of me feels a bit cut off, but I have been occupying my time with much-neglected tasks and chores, along with pursuits once much indulged, including sewing, reading and writing. Today our Christmas decor needs stowing for another year as well. My To-Do list grows..

Prior to yesterday, I would have spent a fair amount of time checking my social media. So far today (10:00am), this is my first check, and post. Still no FB & Insta thus far.

It’s very similar to when I quit smoking. It really feels the same. I didn’t expect that..

First steps…. I have logged out of both my FB & Instagram accounts.

Today has been quite lazy and recuperative for us all. Tomorrow begins the repacking and storing of The Christmas Shit. 😉
