I'm nearly finished with this one, given to me by my old neighbor. Still historical fiction in a manner of contextualizing, but heavily based on Marie Antoinette's actual letters that she wrote throughout her life, which grounds it quite significantly!

There's a book I've been churning through that deals with this exact conversation! Very helpful for me as a gray-ace to have a better academic understanding that also keeps the focus on the Black experience 💜🩶🤍🩶💜
