It’s what our trust does, in particular at November mocks, when we could wait a month or so and we’d have actually have finished the course. It’s awful and I hate it.

Like, they get enough disincentive by the grade boundaries on proper papers (50% ish for a good pass?!). It must feel awful getting a full half the paper wrong. How is it encouraging them to consider science in the future? Is it a wonder I can’t get numbers for A-level?

When the directors at our trust make papers then they’re ridiculously hard for our students - literally only questions at grades 6+ - which is demoralising again.
