The selecting of supreme court judges by the executive branch - even if Congress ( whose members are usually from the same party as the president ) has to approve the candidates, is a conflict of interest situation. In order to be an independent check & balance system there has to be a better way.

Resistance to ICE and the oppression by the state-National Guard in US cities is very American. The 4th amendment is to protect people from unreasonable searches and seizures. The 2nd amendment ie; the right “to keep & bear arms” is based on the right of self-defense and resistance to oppression.
