I've been enjoying these two albums of piano music recently. Amaro Freitas' album (Y'Y) came out a year ago, and the Phil Cook album (Appalachi Borealis) is out next month. Both have such a strong sense of place as well as a connection with the use of field recordings—particularly birdsong. Links ⬇️

The Promise has released a brilliant set of design tools! thepromise.scot/the-promise-... Compliments Education Scotland's equally fab Curriculum Design toolkit (education.gov.scot/resources/cu...) I really believe these tools can have impact with children and young people.
