Totally agree with this! It’s not fit for purpose, a lot of it is wasted time and parents and kids know this. We need proper honest discussion on how to make it better and change it before forcing kids in.

I would think it would affect things like small Mum & toddler groups & local Youth clubs too, although not many of those right now anyway? But the danger is it may become a minefield for home edders putting them off regular group activities as well as organising them? Needs clarity for sure!

There is currently is plenty of barriers in our system. Limited ways of assessing learning is one, the default of handwritten timed tests disadvantages many bright and clever children for a start.
