In a mediocre clash between two mediocre teams, Spurs lucky to win but not hugely so … United didn’t do enough with their possession edge.

There's no placating the Brexiters, no reasoning with them, no basic comprehension or adulthood. You can't debate papers behaving like the Sun or the Mail this morning. There's nothing to debate with. They view all trading relations with Europe as humiliation.

Thread. There has always been a dark side to America, as to all countries, really, held in check by decency and aspiration to do good, but right now it feels appallingly dark and the holding in check is precarious.
1/ The US government has ordered the Swedish city of Stockholm to end its diversity, inclusivity and equality (DEI) programmes within 10 days. The city authorities say the demand is "bizarre" and they won't be complying. ⬇️
