Did anyone else notice that the recent federal spending freeze EO was so poorly drafted that the GOP actually blocked spending money to enforce the Hyde amendment; i.e., the federal law prohibiting spending federal money on abortions?

AOC: I don’t care what Elon Musk is doing behind the presidential seal, but in this country we hate Nazis. Kind of like a foundational defining thing. Two of the foundational things about American history is that we beat the confederates and we beat the Nazis.

I just clicked a popup link to some idiot GOP Rep’s Twitter page and wrote a response to his stupid ass-clownery and now I feel all dirty inside.

Really, I am off their once collegiate athletics migrate to Blue Sky for recruiting announcements and other news.

So, it was all about an insecure narcissist’s need for attention. Nothing more.

PS I got this message on 1/19/25 at 6:30 CST. How did he do anything when he is not President yet…?

Tomorrow, the last full day of the current administration, I am going shopping for some staples. I’ll post the receipt here. I’ll go back in four years to see how much things changed…

Did anyone join the thousands of American liberals who descrnded on the US Capitol Building to stop the election certification, commit perty vandalism, assault, and occasionally defecate on the marble floors? Huh? Nobody?

Hmm. Wonder why that is.

I used to be a Reagan Republican. My views have changed a little. For example, I now heartily endorse this sentiment.

It’s a mistake to think Elon Musk’s fans like him DESPITE him being a mediocre sociopath instead of BECAUSE.
Revolting mob rule, Stalinist, Maoist, fascist, call it what you want, it is disgusting, with the power of the state and social media to mobilize the US version of China's Red Guard to target civil servants, professionals doing their job.

@shannonappelcline.bsky.social I am shocked/pleased that someone is using their history degree to study RPGs. My uni didn’t do a lot of thinking out of the box vis-à-vis careers, so I ended up using my history degree to get into & through law school. I am excited to follow you & see what you do!

There’s a narrative that Gaetz was a deliberate head-fake — a distraction to boost the real candidate — but I am always suspicious of narratives that attribute four-dimensional chess to trump as opposed to knocking over the table and eating the checkers.
