It was the most beautiful sound he could hope to hear. He was soon racing her around the park and she giggled with excitement when he let her win. After that, she begged him to play hide and seek with her, which he happily did until he realised she had some good hiding spots and began to worry when he couldn’t find her. He breathed a sigh of relief when he heard her singing to herself in a little alcove behind a bush. When he knelt down and peeked behind the bush, she jumped but then burst out laughing and threw her arms around his neck. He picked her up and carried her to the pond, where they gathered some stones and he taught her how to skim them across the water. She was frustrated at first because she kept throwing them straight into the water, but she soon picked it up, and she squealed with delight every time her stone went further than his did. It was soon time for them to go home, which she was disappointed about, but he promised to stop by the bakery on the bridge for a treat on the way back to the Diamond. After the bakery, they continued their walk home. He chuckled as he looked at her because she had chocolate all around her mouth and she just didn’t care. And if he was honest, neither did he. The text says: He held her little hand and they strolled along happily until she suddenly stopped. He looked down at her and she was staring into a shop window at some stuffed wyverns. She turned her head to look at him with her big purple eyes and he knew he couldn’t resist her. He took her straight into the shop and let her pick out the one she wanted. When they emerged, she had the biggest smile on her face as she held onto her new toy as tightly as she could. She skipped along the street until they got home. Once she’d had her dinner, he got her settled and tucked into bed. As she cuddled up to her new stuffed wyvern, he wondered if she’d be too excited to sleep. “What are you going to call your new wyvern, Amelia?” He asked. “Viago,” she replied without hesitation. He smiled at this beautiful little girl. Without even thinking about it, she’d decided to name this toy, which was giving her so much comfort, after him. He stroked her hair before kissing her head. “Thank you. Goodnight, my little Amelia. Te amo.” “Ar lath ma, Vi!” He looked back at her snuggling up under her blankets and smiled before closing the door and leaving her to sleep. For the first time in a long time, she’d had a good day, and that meant the world to him.

Since the #rqotd was on whether Rook and their LI had children, I thought I'd update this. As well as their eight biological children, Lucanis & Amelia adopted a little girl called Olivia. She was a 5-year-old elven child who was orphaned.
