I do agree using AI for art is hideous and IMO it should be made illegal. But for some disabled people AI assisted tech can be life changing and using it doesn’t make them baddies.

Environmentally it’s a nightmare just like bitcoin. You’re probably right on the 1% too. However I think it’s worth differentiating between the use of AI ripping off artists vs its use in science, saving lives. Tech isn’t a bad thing. How we choose to use it is where problems lie.
