I’d love to be surprised about RFKJr getting confirmed, but this is the same regime that immediately pulled out of the fucking World Heath Organization so why wouldn’t we have an anti-vaxxer as Health Secretary 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Cisqo had no business putting his soul into singing “Thong Song” the way he did, but it never ceases to make me want to scream sing right along with him. To a song about thongs. Iconic 🤣🤣🤣

Genuinely confused that some people didn't hear the musicality in Kendrick's Superbowl performance. It's in the voice, friends. American schools really need to bring back the study of poetry!

in what meaningful way can we say that the constitution is in effect when an unelected and unaccountable billionaire is wielding state power to unilaterally cancel congressional appropriations?
Hearing that DOGE went into the Dept of Education today and shut down almost the entirety of the department's in-house research arm, Institute of Educational Sciences, cancelling contracts totally about $900m.

i'll be blunt, if you are someone who is vocal about the ways that diversity efforts "divide the working class" but silent about the ways that *actual racism and discrimination* divide the working class, then i think you're just an opportunist

Many Democrats and activists are rallying to defend diversity programs, but others say they distract from deeper efforts to address inequality.

I started reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler and had to stop reading it because it felt too real. Down to the year. We’re on the precipice of cautionary tales coming to life & we have to start figuring out what the hell we’re gonna do about it.

like the way I have to brace for impact anytime there’s breaking news on my phone is truly maddening. I need to stay informed but god damn, can we go like a solid day without living in unprecedented times?
Too many people didn't appreciate just how wonderful, how glorious, it was that the daily news cycle during Biden's presidency was boring as fuck.

I know I should be “grateful” but a 1% cost of living raise is a fucking laugh in my face and I don’t know what the fuck to do about it other than find a new job. Which is deeply upsetting bc I love my job and I hate that I can’t afford to do it.

Honestly what I think happened was that the President of Mexico and the Prime Minister of Canada both got on the phone and told Trump how huge and powerful and manly he was in nice, soothing ASMR tones for twenty minutes, and that's all it took because Trump just wants to be told he's a big big boy
So Mexico "agreed" to continuing a border security deployment they had negotiated with the Biden administration. Did Canada "agree" to something similarly already in place?

The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.

We hammered this time and time again and yet.
