Sweet Jesus! I aced my masters thesis! I wrote a feminist critique of Sylvia Townsend Warner's 1926 novel "Lolly Willowes." A woman can be anything: a wife, mother, an activist or whatever she wants. Laura opts to be a witch. I recommend it.

While not a book as such, I feel "Let America Be America Again" a tremendous work of poetry by Langston Hughes is relevant. Note the difference between "make" and "let."

I just rewatched "The Late Great Planet Earth." I hadn't seen it since I was 9 years old. I read the book a little later. Parts of it are hilarious.

I recently read John Osborne's play "Look Back in Anger." Wow! There is so much to unpack. The lead character, Jimmy Porter, though extremely unlikable, gives the audience so many avenues of discussion as what makes him such a toad
It was made into a movie with Richard Burton, if you rather that

I'm finishing up a paper on the British Empire as seen through Rudyard Kipling and John Osborne. What are you doing Sunday?
