Name me any other job where even when you're off sick you're working? So thankful that due to concert rehearsals there's not quite so many lessons but due to other things going on my planning has got behind, so when I was feeling a bit better yesterday I planned & sent the lessons needed for today

Why oh why do we have to cram so many teaching hours of lessons into so few actual hours in a school day?! It's bonkers! Looking at some of my afternoons next week, I'm expected to teach 2 one hour lessons (based on the scheme timings) in the realistic space of less than 90 minutes!!

Wow! Week 1 as an ECT is done! It's been interesting!! Am a little surprised at the lack of resources that I have in my room Teachers have come & gone as have lots of the things that would be really helpful for an ECT to have to hand for teaching things like maths or even basic stationery supplies!

Yesterday was an emotional day in the homestead - highs and lows. Expectations not met but celebrations of what had already been acheived meaning the teenager is off to their 1st choice university with a scholarship! (Yesterdays results were only about pride and as uni had been confirmed in March).
