If you are all-in on David Lynch after seeing the amazing interview clips, memes, screenshots, etc., after he died, but you're afraid to watch anything too weird, I highly recommend A Straight Story. Lynch considered this one his favorite, I think, and it is a genuinely great story without "extras"

Definitely pushed my personal threshold for gore/graphic violence, but the characterizations, brilliant storytelling, humor, heart, and DC world-building more than compensated for it. Gunn is the one-and-only master of comics misfits.

#Anora takes a bunch of twist-and-turns, alternately heartbreaking and funny, and is one of the best cinematic commentaries on class that I’ve seen in ages. #MikeyMadison is a bonafide star.

#CreatureCommandos is a lot of fun. Economic run times, too. #FrankGrillo is great as Rick Flag Sr. Wonderful, tragic interpretation of the #Frankenstein myth. The princess is cute but suspicious.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
