Just another day in the snow belt of Preston County, WV. Snowed in and watching Yellow Jackets. Will tomorrow be the day that defines this generation and the future is the US? Craziness on the horizon; evil is snuffing out the beacon of light we were supposed to be.

I’m a baker part time and own my own business; public ed teacher full time. I’ve been snowed in for nearly a week. I’ve lost an hour today just scrolling through recipe videos. I miss feeling this inspired by teaching. Normally I would be researching for lesson plans.Anyone else feeling like this?

After a full day of family and over indulgence I do enjoy my corner with grandbaby and my English bully babies.

Two turkeys brining. Cleaning and watching holiday movies. Almost all my adult kids will be here with their families tomorrow plus my husband’s side. Today I will set my worries aside and do my best to make tomorrow a day of love, laughter and good food. Baking pies and cookies tonight!

Sometimes you can still inspire the magic of a good story in your high school students. Today we listened to dwarves sing about a stolen treasure hidden and protected by a fierce dragon named Smaug. Pictures can’t capture the vibe though. Not a peep for 45 minutes.
