Taking a break from graphic novels this time round with this beauty of a book by @footymac.bsky.social. Nearly half way through and it lives up to its billing. Incredibly well-researched and well-written history of the Italian game (up to 2007).

10/10 (so far). Would recommend.

Always great to come home to book post from @vocabularyninja.bsky.social and @bloomsburyed.bsky.social. This looks absolutely class and the layout and structure could easily be adapted for different model texts that you might be using. Well worth a look.

Pinched one of the boy's Christmas presents this evening. Zawa and the Belly of the Beast is ace. A story about the impact of humans on the earth at its essence. @thewoodenking.bsky.social has created some superb characters and artwork to tell a fantastic tale with a positive message.

2024 was the first year I've ever tracked the books I've read. It's been really fun looking back at what I've read this year before looking ahead to the huge TBR pile I've already got for this year.

First ever trip to Hay-on-Wye today. Could have easily bankrupted ourselves. Serious restraint was shown. Especially pleased with the two Tomi Ungerers.

Little bit happy with the comic book haul I've received over the past week. Some amazing books. I'll be stealing some of my son's as well once I'm done with these!

Massive shout out to @busterbooks.bsky.social for another great puzzle book from Tim Collins. After the great Sherlock Bones series & their Knutz & Boltz comic crossover, this choose your own adventure is going to be a real hit. I love the variety in Tim's work at the moment.
