That is entirely not surprising. I've never met the man, nor have I had any interest in watching or going to his show, he did always strike my as a guy who built a platform for money and status, to rub up to Hollywood and validate himself specifically, not so much the industry as a whole.

100% agree. Sean Connery Bond (my personal favorite) is a different Bond than Roger Moore's Bond. Moore never fought Oddjob. Dalton and Craig never fought Jaws. Different characters.
