Despite the amnesty, #Omani authorities have continued to crack down on migrants with irregular status, with several individuals arrested for violating labour and residency laws.

The situation is worsened by the lack of safe, affordable, and culturally sensitive mental health care in multiple languages, coupled with a fear of deportation for seeking help—leaving many migrants with no support during mental health crises.
