According to Scorpion's UMK3 bios, Shao Kahn did make a failed attempt to steal the souls of Earth's hell (aka the NetherRealm), which allowed Scorpion to escape. Perhaps another damned soul escaped as well, and decided to drive the subway train. Like when Slimer drove the bus in Ghostbusters II.

Anybody how ever look at it was said "UH DUR, YOU NEED 3 HANDS TO USE IT" didn't realize that no game was ever set up as such. It was quite comfortable to use.

If only they'd fixed the slowed down, pitched down MK3 songs in MK Trilogy. Or at least had an option to toggle to fixed audio tracks. Specifically, tracks 2-11 and tracks 19-27.
