I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about weed - 'vape pen' is a term I've mostly? exclusively? heard for THC vapes and her first self reply is about drugs being cool. That doesn't change my feelings on them, they're fucking insidious.

I bought my house in 2021 and couldn't afford it today between 12% price growth and interest rates more than doubling. We got the last chopper out of Saigon.

I took an FBI briefing on fake swat/shooter calls and "the caller is playing gun sounds from their computer" is one of the first things you're taught to listen for. A wav file of a crying baby probably doesn't sound nearly as convincing as everyone is imagining.

We are now in a time where it isn't even a guarantee that the poster has -shopped- a day in their life in a chain retailer between instacart and store pick up.

No individual person is an island but it does now feel like every single household is an island of inward focus. People come together at events sometimes but there's no feeling of actual community, at least by me.

the perfect one already exists, it's $65 first time and $30 renewal, just subsidize it. also closes the real ID gap for the same people who will struggle to get a state ID for all of the known reasons.

It looks bleak for years. Jazz at age 29 is probably the best position player FA in '26. Then maybe Paredes age 29 season for 2027?
