The oligarchs' yachts aren't tied to the ship of state; they can abandon it when THEY founder it (and they ARE sinking it). And they're sabotaging the lifeboats so the rest of us drown when the ship goes down.

But they're sinking it in shallow water so they can salvage whatever wealth remains.

One cannot call them ideals without real effort to enact and defend them.

It can't be claimed that equity and equality are ideals of the United States. If BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women's rights are negotiable while white men's rights are sacrosanct, "equal rights" is propaganda.

I wonder, lately, if the goal isn't the destruction of the US government, rather than its transformation. As policies increasingly, indiscriminately hurt broader swaths of people, won't outrage grow (with destruction the consequence)?

EVERYONE I know personally (even the ones who seem to me to be 'rich') is FAR closer to poverty than to billionaire status. The 0.1% turn us against ourselves because they remember the French revolution (but they don't want to treat us decently, a simple way to avoid the guillotines). #oligarchy

Once upon a time a Tesla might have been cool, but the design/technology has stagnated AND buying one puts money in the pocket (and arrogance in the head) of a f*cking Nazi, so before long, driving one will seem to some to say "something" about the driver.
