He does seem to be striving to bring the Russian pogroms that forced his ancestors to flee to America upon anyone who he deems to be un-American.

Truly it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to pay more tax on their dividends

They think they can balance the country being totally hostile to a relatively small number of asylum seekers; marginally hostile to migrants needed to fill work in key sectors (health, care etc) and international students; and very attractive to high skilled migrants in high pay sectors. They can't.

I guess I could imagine doing a victory lap if UK growth was super high, the budget was balanced, essential services were fully staffed, innovation was booming and the country felt energized and dynamic - all somehow with low net migration.

But none of that is true.
