Love this cover by Dan Panosian, but for some reason seeing Batman’s ear through his mask in this much detail is tripping me the fuck out.

Nick Dragotta and Hayden Sherman doing the best variant covers for Batman/Deadpool, who could have guessed? (Me 😊)

First good laugh I’ve had in a while seeing this.

Unparalleled work coming from the “house of ideas” right now.

I have such complex thoughts on these…

I guess it’s ultimately good that these comics are available for cheap, but they do SUCH a disservice to the art, imo.

Absolute Martian Manhunter is a stellar book, but feels COMPLETELY out of step with the rest of the Absolute line.

Honestly, this would have made more sense as a Black Label book—I’m glad it seems to be selling so well though. Definitely sticking with it to the end.

10/10 🔥

Shockingly little to say about Absolute Flash.

Robles art is delightful, but the first arc has felt like wheel-spinning. Willing to give it another arc to see if it picks up!

I can see what Ewing is going for with Absolute Green Lantern, but the execution is botched.

Feels like a ripoff of manga tropes rather than an homage or honest attempt at the genre. 0/10 👽, total nonstarter.

Absolute Superman has been, for me, extremely uneven.

Great ideas, occasionally great issues, but often joyless to read and feels like it’s taking forever to get started.

Absolute Wonder Woman is good, but unironically (unlike Absolute Batman).

It’s the only one to succeed with the Absolute Universe’s premise: despite not having the Amazons and Paradise Island, at her core this is still Diana.

Absolute Batman is Scott Snyder operating in full-on metalhead bimbo mode.

Dragotta is the real star of the book—doesn’t really work if he’s not drawing.

Utterly stupid, a lot of fun: 8/10 🦇
