If these algorithms work, let’s adapt them to charge the megawealthy appropriate prices — should a billionaire pay anything less than $500,000 for a dozen oranges? It’s “progressive pricing” as a way to counter our regressive taxation.

Laws forbidding lawsuits against specific industries 10/10 mean those industries should be sued. The platforms need to be broken up. The ad revenue should go back to actual news organizations.

Sounds like Goontober to me.

Bro you sound INSANE

Smart take: Only three high school kids getting shot AT SCHOOL isn’t a mass shooting.

You people are out of your goddamn minds. The death of Charlie Kirk is neither shocking, nor sad. However, the mass shooting at a Colorado high school today is all of those things.

Sorry, Vox hot-take machine. You’re wrong. And he begged for it.

You seem unwilling to comprehend what “social consequences” entails. Buckle down and think it through. You got this. 👍

I get it. I’m just not interested.

I’m not sure how this plan is implemented? A panel of judges creates a list of undesirables and sends them into exile?
August 11, 2025 at 11:37 PM
I was using hyperbole. I don’t think we disagree on what ideal society should look like—just on how to get there.

You’re hearing what you want to hear. It seems like you’re angry at everyone. Republicans, MAGAs, pedophiles, boomers? I can’t keep up.

I’m saying rapists and pedophiles are subject to criminal law, and pitchfork mobs rarely make good decisions. Who gets to choose which neighbor is exiled?
August 11, 2025 at 10:11 PM
I think my point is that neither are options that civil society should choose.

We have laws. This isn’t the Lord of the Flies.
