You sound like me: I try to screen out all the obvious bots, spammers, conmen, onlyfans girls, etc, and those too weird for even my liberal tastes.

Been getting numerous followers this past week with a lead post picture of a native American looking man or woman holding up a map of the US showing native tribal territories.

LOL, that's good. Also sounds like those old serial cliffhangers: they would make it look the hero was doomed and you'd tune in for the next episode and find out he ducked behind a door or something and survived the massive explosion at the end of the previous episode unscathed.

Wow, this is like one of those old serials like Commando Cody, that ends on a wild cliffhanger every episode and you just have to tune in to find out how the hero got out of it.

I'm sort of the opposite. Not a fan of heights, not quite in a phobia sense but enough so I don't like flying, I would never skydive, etc, being on an observation point with a big drop below is tense. But small heights like ladders or up on a roof doesn't bother me except for the unsteadiness...

And his new series on PBS about the Revolutionary War is great too. ☺️

I saw it mentioned in one of @atomickommiecomics.bsky.social posts a few weeks ago and it caught my attention, even though I've read on the history of comics and the whole social/moral panic of the 40s/50s around them, it looked like it would be a good deep dive. And it is.

Tim Meadows is one of those actors who basically just plays variants of the same character and yet always manages to be funny as heck.

I discovered that show during Christmas break from school, probably around 1967-68--storyline involving "Adam," their take on Frankenstein's creature. From then on every chance I had when school was out I would try to watch it as it aired to early to see after school. Would have been 10ish then.

It's very entertaining and well-written. I'm only about 50 pages in and this first part is the history of how comic books came to be overlaid with talk of critics of the genre.

Diseased, rapist, gang member cattle from shithole countries.

Spotted while walking my dog a couple weeks ago. Not sure if it's portent of "It" or "The Chair Company", but we didn't investigate any further.

I truly loved that movie and take it over most of Cruise's films.

We just watched the most recent episode tonight. I like it but still not sure how I will think of it when it's over.

The PC Gamer review was lukewarm, though it's possible I'll buy it when the price comes down.

The article took a nuanced look at almost 40 years of Predator movies and I felt it landed on the side of Trachtenberg's takes on the series.
November 17, 2025 at 9:16 PM
I took the article as being positive for where Tachtenberg has taken the franchise but that's just me.
