Lol, before I was an officer, I was an 0331.
Also, I went to OCS with a prior scout sniper and he had the "SS" brand that they all got back then (this was 2000). He had been spending a lot of time and effort to get it removed so he could be accepted to MECEP.
Platner absolutely knew.
