Why would I comment on black America? Says more about you than me if you’re mad I’m criticizing Jeffries. My criticisms have nothing to do with race. Suggesting he should be beyond reproach is just as bad as the current administration running a DEI program for unqualified white people.

Dick Gephart and Nancy Pelosi were both considered effective minority leaders. In fairness to Jeffries, Congress has never been this polarized and republicans are mostly voting strictly along party lines. I don’t know why you keep bringing up race. Doesn’t have any relevance.

Bottom line is he’s been ineffectual. Perhaps he would be a better speech giver than minority leader. He just looks like an AIPAC shill when his number one concern is a Muslim running for mayor

Got it. Why not have someone else be minority leader, then? Nancy seemed to have gotten stuff done in that role. Perhaps he should spend more time opining about everything the current administration is doing wrong instead of denigrating an NYC mayoral candidate.

They’ve already proven they don’t need his vote to pass. You’re charitable and I’m cynical. Giving lip service as opposition doesn’t cut it for me. He’s tacitly given Thune the green light by not doing more to oppose. He could be working with his “concerned “ colleagues from AK and ME to derail this

It’s hard to agree with your conclusion given Israel is the recipient of the largest amount of foreign aid from the United States. I’d argue IDF’s current military campaign would be unsustainable with the increased military aid from the US
