As violence escalated, many Rohingya were forced to flee, facing perilous journeys. Many drowned, died, or were arrested while seeking refuge in neighboring countries. Though limited news has surfaced, survivors recount harrowing experiences, underscoring the widespread destruction and loss of life.

Both groups deny responsibility, accusing each other of the violence, while evidence suggests coordinated attacks and complicity.

They have used Rohingya civilians as human shields, destroyed nearly all village tracts with bombs, rockets, and other weapons, and perpetrated abductions, injuries, rapes, and murders.

The group had departed on Nov 1, 2024.

Out of the 180 passengers, 174 Rohingya died, leaving only 6 survivors (4 men & 2 women). The survivors were rescued by a foreign ship, handed over to the Myanmar Navy, and then transferred to a police station before being admitted to a hospital. — end/
