Waiting for the UK Prime Minister to add this to the agenda for day 1 of the Trump state visit to the UK.

US and UK backed Israel is committing genocide in Gaza - and the world is watching. 🇵🇸

The UK doesn’t produce its own uranium & nuclear fuel isn’t renewable.

So how does spending hundreds of billions £ on technology that will leave us reliant on “volatile international markets” for decades help us achieve energy security and energy independence?

For the benefit of anyone rushing to point out how valuable the fishing industry is to the economy.

A buff-tailed bumblebee with full pollen baskets and a small copper butterfly.

Just two of hundreds of pollinators making the most of the ivy flowers. North Wales, Eryri.

This is why ivy is so important. Please don’t cut it back.

I hope you’re right, but we’re seven years further down the hate escalator to hell since Stanley Johnson had to apologise for this.

Will anyone planning to vote for fascism really think any differently now?

This kind of stuff is everywhere. And it’s disastrous.

Surely, this look is only now a matter of time.

Six months?

As a summary of the failure of governments in the rich global North to address the planetary crises that surround us, this statement is hard to beat.

It’s certainly going to be extremely difficult to live in some places as they are.

Much better urban design is going to be crucial. Right now, there’s not much evidence of wide-scale adaptation to a different climate. That needs to change really soon.

The only part of today’s Guardian leading article about Reform Party plans to “cut council diversity roles” that gets close to explaining what’s going on is the quote in the final paragraph from the LibDem, Amanda Hopgood.
“They are more concerned with stoking division…”

Please, try to understand.

Tice, with the eager cooperation of the right wing media, gets another opportunity to pronounce on what he claims are the causes of decline in the UK and reinforce his message without lifting a finger.

We need to do better than name-calling in response.

Tice isn’t frightened and he knows he would be completely safe, but he also knows it helps him if he can reinforce a false belief in his target audience that ordinary, peaceful people at #Glastonbury who disagree with his hateful policies can be seen as a dangerous and threatening “woke” mob.

Despite the slightly confusing name, this is a grey wagtail.

Happily, unlike the Swifts and the House Martins, these birds are doing well and their numbers are gradually increasing.

All of these videos were taken today in Eryri national Park in north Wales.

Swifts chasing insects for their young.
@hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social has campaigned tirelessly for these birds but right now the UK government is refusing to listen to sense.

I mean, why would you want your children to grow up in a world without these?

We all know that many parts of the natural world are in terrible trouble due to human activity, but that knowledge just makes it all the more important to take time to see what’s still there.
