I’ve wanted to see Turkish Delight since it was heavily mentioned in the Z-Channel documentary.

Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl, The Lottery by Shirley Jackson (though they may have done that already, I think I first read that in 9th).

Lamb was also done as an Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode if you want to do a media compare/contrast kind of thing.

My kids genuinely liked Buster Keaton shorts at that age. Not too long, good stunts, silliness.

My wife and I only watch horror movies. Anything prestige or drama really bums her out, so we stick to what we both enjoy. I had to watch Come and See on my phone, in chunks over a couple weeks while waiting for my daughter’s basketball practice to end.

It’s the TV edit and I hate it. They did that because they did a Disneyified remake and didn’t want to get in trouble if kids wanted to watch the original afterwards and hear “Don’t fuck with the babysitter”

I had a job and a wife and a house in Baltimore. But I couldn’t have a job and a wife and a house and a kid in Baltimore. I can in Pittsburgh, though.

MK1 has a very “…is this anything?” vibe. With that question answered, MK2 had a lot more resources.

In the mid-90s they did an indie music cover album (open.spotify.com/album/08ICVZ...) and the version on there is super catchy.

I’m shocked they didn’t just destroy the evidence. Still. They had an entire government shutdown to destroy evidence.

Dead at 21. MTV’s one-season attempt at doing a kind of X-Files-y/The Tomorrow People thing. Notable these days as Adam Scott’s first acting gig.
