I've finally made a site where I can put up my (can be generously described as) music.

Have a listen if you'd like, if not that's fine too.

I've managed to finish this track that was languishing in projects folder for half a year, and I'm fairly pleased.

Synthwave-like start that veers into big synth roars and drums at the midpoint.

feverdream
Memories of defending the cold fire that keeps the wolves at bay while running a 38c fever. They roar and howl in the distance, but I am safe here, as long as the fire doesn't go out.

Minor QoL update for my patch reporting program for remote unix/linux systems, you can now filter `inventory status` on whether or not updates (or security updates) are available.

If you feel like that should have been in there from day one, honestly, same.

It turns out: I don't like yum/dnf.

It adheres to its own internal rules, to a fault, which would be really commendable if that actually mattered at all from a UX standpoint.

'check-updates' is a nightmare of this.

Listen, users aren't gonna give a fuck that _technically_ kernel updates are […]

exosphere is a CLI / TUI tool for aggregated patch and security update reporting via SSH.

It shows host status, displays distro updates across servers, pings connected hosts and more.

Oh no, for some reason I started making a stupid modal TUI for my nice little tool that does reporting on updates, and now I can't stop.

DO I EVEN NEED THIS AT THIS POINT? I have a super nice interactive prompt that does pretty tables and data display, but I can't stop.

There's really a simple joy in making your own tools just for yourself.

My homebrew tool for patches reporting is shaping up nicely. Apologies for the horrifying video aspect ratio.

It can now save and cache state across runs, which is nice.
