The Biggest Question for Every College Football Playoff Team
Has Ohio State been exposed? Can Ole Miss win without Lane Kiffin? Is Georgia’s defense officially back? And what the hell is going on with Kalen DeBoer?

Doubt a spineless Democrat at your own risk.
i can't believe the government shutdown is going to end before the disney-youtube tv standoff smh

@jeffpearlman.bsky.social Oh man, you're devoting 22 minutes to dumping on Dave Kingman. This is going to be good.

Man...That Duke-GT game...the whole vibe changed on one play. I went from GT being on upset alert to "can Duke respond from this". It's just 7-0, but probably feels like it's 28-0

Shohei Ohtani deserves to be mentioned among the greatest athletes to ever grace Earth.

3 HR and 10 strikeouts? That's stuff you might see the star 10-year-old do in Little League game and talk about it for years. Ohtani is just doing this to big leaguers in a championship series.
Breaking News from @theathletic.com: The Los Angeles Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers to return to the World Series, led by Shohei Ohtani’s three home runs and six shutout innings.
Shohei Ohtani’s 3-homer, 10-strikeout game powers Dodgers back to World Series
Ohtani stole the show with perhaps the greatest individual performance in MLB playoff history.

Yeah Carson Beck might be who we thought he was.

@jeffpearlman.bsky.social That Rafael Santana-Ed Hearn story is wild.

Something about Mario Cristobal playing for a 47-yard field goal with 1:09 remaining in a tied game felt so on brand. College football is truly back!

@jeffpearlman.bsky.social So I mean, if you want to do a part 2...and a part 3, I'm here for you!

@jeffpearlman.bsky.social BTW, you give credit to Ray Lucas, who salvaged that final season under Parcells. There were also the Brett Favre pics (that you touched on in a previous episode) and the Jets were 8-3 when that stuff came out and finished 9-7. The 2011 AFC Champ is a stomach punch.
September 1, 2025 at 9:29 PM
@jeffpearlman.bsky.social As a fellow suffering Jets fan. I'm surprised you didn't mention Doug Brien shitting the bed in the division game against the Steelers in 2004-05 season. And of course there was Testaverde busting his Achilles in 1999, when the Jets were a legit Super Bowl contender.

Not sure what Lilleberg did to get Olivier's attention, but he did, and Olivier overreacted and got a double-minor and 10-minute game misconduct for it. #TBLightning
March 5, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Kucherov was THAT open and buries the breakaway. Great pass from Guentzel and it's 2-0 in the first two minutes.
March 5, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Tremendous redirection from Chaffee, perfectly done to give #GoBolts an early 1-0 lead.
March 5, 2025 at 12:13 AM
#TBLightning going with Guentzel, Point, Kucherov, Hedman and the returning J.J. Moser in the starting lineup with Vasilevskiy in goal. Lightning on a four-game win streak.
February 23, 2025 at 11:05 PM
The Lightning don't lack effort. They are working hard, but the top guys can't score right now and that's why they can't win. #TBLightning
February 5, 2025 at 12:43 AM
The Bills really can't afford to lose anyone in that secondary.
January 27, 2025 at 12:09 AM
Ahhh they are winning the battle against education right now. Somethings got to change.
January 20, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Big period for the #TBLightning. Four goals. Kucherov assist #600. Now one back of Hedman for the franchise lead in assists.
January 19, 2025 at 1:45 AM
The lack of energy I saw from the Lightning in the pre-game warmups has carried over into the first period.
January 17, 2025 at 12:25 AM
Certainly worth monitoring.
QB Jordan Love just left the Packers game with a hand injury

After WR Christian Watson was forced out of action with a non-contact knee injury

Add in the Zay Flowers injury in Ravens/Browns yesterday, and Nick Sirianni will be brushing off his shoulders during the post-game presser
