As bad as any bill is, it’s only by accepting permanent minority rule in the Senate that it can do the most damage.

Smash the filibuster. Undo bad ideas. Pass good ones. Help people when you have the power to do it.

With and old babel/register. 😐
With 9 alpha react plugins. 💀
Gonna be a fun one.

I might add here that pot consumption seems pretty common here in WV & OH and maybe these folks can be persuaded to see how intentionally abusive enforcement of a federal law can be immoral and wasteful.
I have a new post on Substack comparing historical marijuana enforcement efforts with current immigration enforcement. It's about imposing power and taking the low-hanging fruit.

Yes, Fox News are biased as hell and the White House full of massive liars, but if an org wants a public reputation of being truly objective NEWS, they need some red lines, and issuing an armchair psychoanalysis should cross one.

A reminder. Four months ago today, close to 1,600 insurrectionists and cop beaters were pardoned by Donald Trump.

Horrifying treatment of and slandering of legal immigrants. Not a surprise but still sickening.
Cato has published my comprehensive review of the ~240 Venezuelans the US government renditioned 2 months ago to Salvador’s notorious prison. We identified FIFTY who came legally, never violated any immigration law, but are imprisoned at the US government’s request and at US taxpayer expense.

If Stephen Miller can lie about Abrego Garcia and his case on national TV, he can do it in federal court under oath. Judge Xinis should demand his appearance, question him under oath, then jail him for Contempt when he commits Perjury.

This lawless administration has to be subjected to rule of law.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

The President is enjoying his tariffs. They're on, or off, permanent, or can be negotiated down, based on other countries' tariffs, or on trade imbalances, or on his mood. There will be no retaliation, "do not retaliate", they retaliated, we're retaliating on their retaliation.

I think these firms believe they'll be able to weasel out of any commitments they make (thanks to the firms that are suing).
Law firms did not strike a "truce" with Trump. They capitulated to an authoritarian. Some, like Skadden, sought out these deals before they even faced any sanction from the Trump regime.

The law students standing up are brave. The law firms they are protesting are cowards.

Few know Congress has true control of tariffs, so my hypothesis is GOP members are letting Trump fail so they'll no longer be held hostage by his threats, but still retain power to get their tax cuts.

The alternative is they believe in this economic malpractice.
