I know I am late, but I happened across this and want to chime in.
I am partial to many of the moles of the Redwall series.
In particular is Axtel Sturnclaw from the novels, who I just learned and... um... well look at how he is illistrated 👀👀👀

I feel like mice and rats get confused (outside of furry) because people just don't conceive of how teeny tiny they are. Ambitious pieces of lint we are.

Chapter 2: A Cheesy Plan “I don’t understand!” cried one of the mice. Juliet tried her best to explain. “Well, we went through a lot of trouble to make you mice very smart by combining human DNA with yours over several generations. That’s why you all have finally learned how to communicate with us.” “What’s DNA?” asked a different mouse. “Is it like cheese?” “No, it’s like a building block of what makes you you.” “Okay, imagine something very tiny, so small that you can’t see it.” “Okay, I’m doing it!” shouted a mouse. Juliet continued, “Okay, now imagine there being thousands and thousands of those… maybe billions and trillions of them.” All of their eyes widened at such big numbers. “And when all of those things form up, you get a single mouse.” William whispered, “That’s not how DNA works.” “I know. Shut up,” she whispered back. The mice discussed what they had heard for a bit. They were really trying to fathom the concept, but some of them looked like they were about to lose it. William broke in and said, “Imagine tiny cheeses becoming one big cheese. Only the big cheese is actually just a mouse instead.” Nearly all the mice shouted, “Ooooohhhhhh!” William smirked at his partner. Juliet glared at him a bit and turned her attention back to the mice. “Okay, fine. That’s basically what we did to you. We made you smart like us so we can communicate and do projects together.” “What kind of projects?” a mouse asked. “Do they involve cheese?” asked another. “They involve a lot of cheese,” smiled Juliet. “As long as you all cooperate with us.” All the mice cheered at hearing this. Many of them were already professing their loyalty to the researchers, and others were yelling about how awesome cheese was. It was a scattered reaction, to be sure. William told Juliet, “They still don’t know the last part.” “Not yet,” she replied. Juliet looked back at the mice. “First, we need to give you all names and assign you all some very important… um… cheese-related jobs.” All the mice held up their little arms, hoping to be picked for cheese-related duties. Juliet pointed at one dark mouse and said, “Your name is Hector. You’ll be the captain.” “Captain of cheese?” asked Hector. “Okay, sure,” giggled Juliet. “Everyone has to listen to you and do what you say… within reason, of course.” “I like it already,” smiled Hector. A snowy white female ran to Hector’s side and shouted, “I’m his mate, so that makes me assistant captain!” “Fine,” said Juliet. “Your name is Taffy. You’re the first officer—or I guess first mate makes more sense in this case. You can also tell others what to do as long as the captain approves it.” “Great!” shouted Taffy with a hop. She then explained to Hector, “You need to give me permission to do anything I want, okay?” “Maybe,” said Hector suspiciously. William pointed at a spotted mouse near the back. “That one looks like a good choice for engineer.” Juliet nodded. “You there in the back. Your name is Nero. You are the engineer.” Nero gasped at being called and asked, “What does an engineer do?” “You are in charge of making sure all the equipment works right. Don’t worry, you’ll be given extensive training courses until we are sure you understand all of it.” Nero did not seem to understand completely, but he still nodded in acceptance. Juliet pointed at a brown mouse and said, “Your name is Scorpio. You’ll be the doctor.” “What’s a doctor do?” asked Scorpio. “They look after the health of their fellow mice. You just make sure everyone is healthy, and if they get hurt, you can help them.” “By killing them?” asked Scorpio. “Um, no. Don’t kill any of them.” “But what if they are really hurt, and they have more cheese than I do, and it would be a waste to leave the cheese to someone who probably won’t survive, and maybe, I should kill them so the cheese could be mine… for the sake of all the mice!” “Okay, you’re not Scorpio after all,” sighed Juliet. “You, the white one near the front. You seem less psychotic.” “Am I Scorpio now?” asked the new mouse. “Yes, you’re the doctor. Can you handle it?” “Okay, sure. As long as you teach me. I never doctored before.” “Don’t worry. Everyone will be fully trained. Now, what’s left?” William said, “The cook.”

Lastly, an absolute assault on the senses that I would love to try. I have a certain fascination with skunk scent, and this uses the faintest hint of it. The creator can't make it unless he has natural skunk spray scent that has been aged a few years.

I got a bar of soap from Fragonard scented with mon povre when I visited them in Paris in 2017. It was lovely and I tried to use it sparingly. When I looked for it again a couple years later, it was discontinued. It used pink and black peppercorn in its accords and was very clean. Might get a dupe.
