It only took four of us making a two-minute public comment about the library at the city council meeting for the councilors to restore the funding the mayor’s office had cut.
I really can't emphasize enough that if you care about local politics, all you gotta do is show up. Just a regular schmegular person showing up. Literally just show up consistently in person and within a remarkably short amount of time, you will have a shocking amount of influence.

There is a cultural tendency that I have been working on breaking myself of: trusting in everything that I know and read as being correct, just because it is convincing.

I can’t believe I got turned into a fursuit after registration! I mean they couldn’t have done it before I waited in line! Whatever the jokes on them, anyone that wears me usually ends up as nothing but plush filling. Though it means I’m probably stuck like this for a while. #TFEveryday

Now matter how many times I told @azeldraws.bsky.social he still insisted on trying me on. It usually isn’t a problem but he didn’t let me empty out the last guy who got turned into filling. I can’t really tell who’s who in me now so this may be a bit permanent. #TFTuesday

One of the more frustrating things about my particular form of depression is that it is a malfunction in something that people do not usually notice, including me.
The disconnect between wanting/needing to do something and the ability to do it is something hard to think about.
