My iPod mini is now running new firmware released this year. Tried Rockbox out 15 years ago and amazed that it’s still actively developed. Cant wait to listen to all my Ogg Vobis tracks

Quick review of the Shardor 64mm burr grinder:
Good: adjustment system, easy to clean, all metal inside, lots of burr upgrades, routinely under $150
Meh: needs bellows to avoid retention, timer buttons gross, stock burrs not great for filter
Bad: service/support non existent, popcorns like crazy

Downloaded macmon and am now obsessed seeing which apps use the neural engine. Google Meet and Zoom web apps both hit it. Turned off all studio light and portrait mode on the mac and still lights up the NPU. It seems to use less power to use the browser-based background blur (GPU-powered) than macOS

Turned off all studio light and portrait mode on the mac and still lights up the NPU. It seems to use less power to use the browser-based background blur (GPU-powered) than macOS

Wasn't interested in updating Apple Silicon, but came across a workflow I'd be interested in. The denoising on DXO Photolab is amazing, but processing on my M1 Pro is slow, the bottleneck is the gen 1 Neural Engine. Luckily it doesn't impact CPU/GPU load, so system usable while rendering
