I keep forgetting how rewarding it is to finish a core feature of something and then making a small bit of UI or command that shows the state of it.
You get to have a Nice Visual for your hard work and see it going somehow.

So I just finished removing netdata from all my systems, purging every trace of it, deleting nodes and workspaces, and ultimately my account.
It feels like a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders, now that i know I never have to think or feel anything about it again.

So I just finished removing netdata from all my systems, purging every trace of it, deleting nodes and workspaces, and ultimately my account.

I've been kind of sitting there wondering what remains on my Blockers List to actually switch my Desktop to Linux.
The list is shrinking but I think I have it boiled down to "Ableton pls just release Live for Linux you cowards" and "But my homelab Active Directory..."

SO, I switched from KDE Neon on my laptop to Fedora 43, mostly driven by recent hiccups, upgrade issues and unstable stuff, coupled with the userland getting crustier than I'd like.
As an early report so far: I don't hate it? It's actually quite nice?

Ok I've put it off for long enough, and KDE Neon got one too many Broken Dependencies while just existing. I'm doing a big tarball of my home directory, wiping the disks and giving Fedora 43 Plasma Desktop a fair shake.

Is it me or has PySide/Qt6 gotten way nicer to use with Python in the past, I don't know, 8+ years? I remember using PyQt4 and having a Not Incredible Time.

I had a dream where a museum heist was happening and it failed and someone said to "reset the jimmy jamb" referring to some false ceiling made of some rough textile.
I barely remember the dream but "resetting the jimmy jamb" has been bouncing in my head since.

In prevision of my on-call rotation maybe sucking (it hasn't so far, knocking on wood), I've done biphasic sleep all week.
I just kind of go to bed at 8pm, wake up at 12am, then go back to bed around 3-4am and wake up in time for work.
I feel less tired than I have in months somehow?
