I'm not sure what's on the other end of this supposed slippery slope.
To your main point, humans are already affected. He is responsible for firing thousands of government officials, and they will likely not get those jobs back. Not to mention the effects those firings will have downstream.

ROI? It's an act of protest, not an investment. Further, it doesn't matter who the owners are, the brand itself is the target.

I'll never understand the idea people have that private enterprise is somehow politically neutral. A company the size of Amazon, Disney, Shell, etc, literally can not afford to be neutral.

It's ridiculous how quickly things go to streaming, but equally ridiculous is the price of movie theaters. I like the theater, but I feel like I've been mostly priced out.
