She's right - they don't have any idea of what real DEI work is or who is doing it. For them, DEI us code for affirmative action and it's all been about taking away jobs.

Unfortunately, the research will be limited if done by health systems because they don't collect population level data, only patient data. So any research they do will be skewed and underserved communities will not be represented in what the research shows.

Was just sharing this resource with a couple of med students who had no idea it existed and were excited to discover it. Never thought they wouldn't be able to use it going forward.

I often joke I am from the home of high fructose corn syrup - it's what built ADM. As a public health person, I won't be sad if they make some changes to food additives, but I know it will be harmful to communities I care about since there won't be support for them with this action.

I do wonder how many vote republican know how much the cuts will affect them and/or people they care about. I really think a lot of people don't understand how much Medicaid does, particularly for older adults.
