Newer construction meets some of the oldest tunnels under Minneapolis, dating back to 1870s under Chicago Ave, Washington, Hennepin, and other streets. Staff mentioned that you can find anything down there because it all washes into storm water drains including many different IDs.

Much respect to the Central City Tunnel system team, the underground cathedral-style tunnels are gorgeous. And… success, in that we made down, up, and back out!

68,000 yards of concrete, underwater welding dive teams, and lots of water pumping made it possible to work and build as deep as nearly 50’ below Cedar Lake Parkway. Long-term water mitigation is planned into the infrastructure itself.

Day 1 at Pinnacles National Park, this place genuinely throbs with life from mobs of condors and turkey vultures in the sky to bird song, blooming flowers and lizards everywhere. The talus caves caused by fallen boulders are fun and dark to explore.
