Not Marvin! That “e” on the end makes a big difference - she/her! Democrat, wife of Vietnam vet, professional (D.Sc.) woman still working in FT education, not going back! Opinions are my own!

That’s led to more independents than R’s or D’s and fewer people voting overall. Unless something changes the U.S. cannot sustain a 2-party system and will complete the slide to an authoritarian state.

It’s really too bad that R’s didn’t split in two, into a MAGA party and a more traditional Republican Party. Since MAGA subsumed the Republican Party and MAGA embraces authoritarians, e.g. Putin, Orban, etc., rather than democracy then yes this new Republican Party is un-American.

I wish I knew the answer to that question. It seems they all lie more or less. Makes the old jokes about the Roman Senate being the best senate money could buy a little too real.

will proactively campaign to make sure every incumbent Democrat, as well as every Republican, loses their seat in 2026 and beyond. I know many others who will join me. WTAF! A “promise” of a vote? Why don’t R’s just say no now while they are snickering behind their hands?

take away healthcare from Americans, people (taxpayers) need to understand they will pay some now (thru ACA etc) or they will pay a lot more later in higher tax rates. This is why we need representatives, including a president, who can understand complicated processes, not just simple transactions.

they pay to the government. This amount will always be more than timely (non-emergency) treatment would have cost when provided by a doctor in his/her office or even by an urgent care facility. ER’s always involve the most expensive medical services provided. Before we

insurance then it’s a pretty good bet they can’t pay their bill in cash either. So, how do these bills get paid? Through other laws and acts, usually in a much less than straightforward way. The bottom line is that taxpayers are going to pay these bills through the taxes

times should people be saved from the consequences of their bad votes? That’s an interesting question! But, before things go sideways how do we know votes are bad. We, democracy, need educated citizens. This notion that education is bad is only promoted by those who want easy control over us.

In terms of healthcare, food, i.e. basic necessities. All of which have been opposed by R’s. D’s as president have created jobs and economic growth. Recent R’s as president have wreaked havoc on the economy, radically increasing unemployment. The uncomfortable question is how many
