1863-OTD Abraham Lincoln delivered his astounding 237 word Gettysburg Address.After this fractious yr.-1 can only hope his words come true- “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom-and that government of the people, by the people,4 the people, shall not perish from the earth”🙏

55 yrs ago OTD #EltonJohn records a studio album called 11-17-70 that demonstrates his incredible musical talents. The session was brilliant, raw and powerful. I remember getting the album and listening spellbound. Check out take me to the Pilot! 🎶👏🏻❤️

Remembering the 1907 birthday of amazing actor Burgess Meredith, who gave us so many great roles in films and TV like the Twilight Zone, Rocky, Batman, & Grumpy Old Men. He had the ability to play every role with a comedic edge. One of the great ones!🎥🙏👏🏻❤️

1979 l-OTD 2 of my fav baseballers, HOF’er Willie Stargell,slugging 1b/LF 4 the #PittsburghPirates,& #Cardinals 1b Keith Hernandez,shared the NL MVP award.Willie led the “We are Family” Bucs 2 a WS win.Keith hit .344 & was his usual Gold Glover at the 1b bag.Keith went on 2 be a #Mets legend. ⚾️👏🏻❤️
