The Seattle skyline at night. The sky is pitch black, and everything from the Space Needle to the Columbia Tower is lit up. The city lights are reflecting in huge stripes across the water of Elliott Bay, and there is a surprising amount of pink, purple, blue, and red light, in addition to the ordinary warm white of most buildings.

A relatively wide angle photo of the Eastlake area in Seattle as viewed from Gas Works Park. Foreground is a grass hill with a few paved paths and plenty of people. Behind that is the water of Lake Union, then Eastlake and northern Capitol Hill rise out of the water. The hill is probably half trees and half buildings, and one lone building in the center of the hill looks like it's on fire from how it's catching the sun. The sky is partly blue and partly cloudy, the clouds are a warm orange grey. A hyperzoom shot of the lit-up house from the last photo. Barely larger than a speck in that wide shot, the house now takes up probably half of the frame. It legitimately looks like it's on fire, the house's many large windows are producing dazzling reflections of the setting sun. The house is surrounded by green trees, and a couple tall highway lamp posts rise up from beyond the bottom of the frame.
