Horrified American. Avid reader, player of games, and stargazer. Occasionally still mans a piano and/or writes a song. Cat dad and, after a long learning curve, a halfway decent human & partner.
And GiveFundGo, the crowdfunding website that “spreads the hope of Jesus,” was used to raise 130K in support of that employee. That is incredibly sick sh*t.

Good lord. I get vertiginous just looking at this.

Especially the one in the Cloud Dancer House. (Can’t believe I missed that one.)

Pantone would call that “Cloud Dancer supremacist.”

Should be on every HS reading list.

Isn't this ship owned by a Russian magnate, been sanctioned since 2022 for smuggling oil to Hezbollah & the IRGC (Iran,) & falsely flying the flag of Guyana at the time of its boarding? Unlike a lot of other actions taken by this admin, there was a warrant. Playing devil's advocate here.

Crowdfunded indie media. Yes, this means we’re going to have to budget for it & then triple check the stories. That’s where a platform like bsky might come in handy. A place to ask, “Hey folks, I read xyz, can anyone confirm?” Not a perfect system, but better than MSM at this time.

Taking into account the common good? Tut, tut! How very "definitely not 2025" of you. /s

After eating that reported McDonalds order, who wouldn't? Along with sides of heartburn, nausea and self-loathing.

Circus Peanut! Hadn’t heard that one yet. 😂

Reminded me of an old Sting lyric: “Men go crazy in congregations, they only get better one by one.” Gorgeous shot.

It’s been a long while. I remember really loving it & it’s sequel both but also remember a pretty high degree of difficulty. The sequel was easier (for me at that time anyway.) Thanks for putting it back on my radar!

I'm definitely out. We can have productive arguments about the ideal size of government or appropriate tax rates & reach compromises. But your examples, & many more like them, are binary. There's no agreeing "They just gassed a couple of Jews," "We got halfway to the moon," (or "slightly pregnant.")

Interesting geological tidbit for you: the Appalachian Mts, the Scottish Highlands, and the Atlas Mts in NW Africa were all part of the Central Pangean mountain range. You, the Scots, and the Morrocans, are neighbors separated by 400M years or so.

YES. Either knock it back up into the fifties or sixties or drop it into the twenties, get some snow going, and let’s do winter for real. Oh wait, we’re in Texas. Our grid might collapse.

I’m a little surprised that no-one’s tried selling them Trump brand dehydrated water yet.

The "aesthetic of emaciation" isn't new. It's been prevalent for most of my 50-odd years. What I do find interesting, though, is how many people abandoned "body positivity" when GLP-1 hit the market. That showed me the "look great at any weight" talk was, unfortunately, marketing BS from the get go.
