I really can't wrap my head around the folks who say, "I didn't really like Trump, but I didn't have a choice in 2024" as if Harris was such an obvious "no" that the logic is self-evident. I'm hearing that a lot lately and am flummoxed.

There was a time in my life when I liked it when the unhinged spoke up loudly. That way I figured the rest of us knew where they were. What I did not know at that time was how many unhinged folks there actually were, and now I sorely miss the relative silence.

I really can't think about this for too long but Jesus, it is going to take decades to undo the damage being done: institutional knowledge & trust, world standing, checks & balances, common decency, the f*cking East Wing - all in ruins.

Federal Judge Sara Ellis stated in no uncertain terms that Greg Bovino lied under oath. Why is he not facing perjury charges? Because, if I understand correctly, they have to come from the DoJ. 😒

The SC GOP put up signs calling the abortion ban-opposing “Sister Senators” “Baby Killers.” Has anyone thought about putting up billboards calling ban supporters “Mother Killers” since the maternal mortality rate nearly doubles in states with such bans?

As a GenX male with an average income, I’m almost nobody’s target demographic; but I occasionally wonder if advertisers realize the constant barrage when navigating daily life has me mentally checking off the “never buy that” box when a product/service gets repeatedly shoved at me? Just me on that?

Can't say I'm buying into the whole "The Sleeping Giant Awakens" narrative yet, but said Giant definitely threw a forearm. It was a good night. What will be interesting now is to see if any members of Congress notice which way the wind is blowing & start to quietly tack away from MAGA.

USAID, a program that allowed the US to help developing countries in myriad ways for a relative pittance & was a great soft power generator, had a budget of a little over 30B for FY2024. USAID is dead & we're bailing out Milei/Argentina for 40B. This is beyond infuriating.
