I'm a retro game geek who loves Japanese video games especially. MSX computers and game preservation are my passions.

I also livestream frequently at:

Beside the three games, it also got a manga and a choose-your-own-adventure book. Then AshGuine just disappeared. He is referenced in La-Mulana 2, though.

Yay for more AshGuine exposure! (: bsky.app/profile/mp83...
Meet AshGuine -- part human, part reptile. Created by CM Land's director, Tae-Young Lee, in collaboration with Japanese illustrator and modeler Kou Yokoyama. He started off as Panasonic's mascot for their FS-A1 (1986) and FS-A1mkII (1987) models of MSX2 computers.

I was also given a chance to ACTIONIZE my desktop, but I declined.

Oops! Only now realized my mistake. I meant to say MSX/Famicom. 🫠

Hahah, nice! I love how video game sprites can be misread sometimes! 😄Here's how I've always seen the bald stick-holding enemy from Yie Ar Kung-Fu (NES/Famicom), for instance:

It would look suspicious to see someone kneeling over to clean the seat.

It's been a while since I watched the show, but didn't her classmate Tomoyo make all her costumes? Surely Tomoyo made the baseball outfit to film her in it. (:

Oh my god, so sorry to hear that! I hate, hate, HAAAAATE when life comes in the way, especially when you have something bigger planned.

This one comes from the MSX2 version of Xak: The Art of Visual Stage. It's one of the unused border designs that you can only see by finishing the game and accessing the unused assets gallery (by waiting several minutes after the end credits).

Oops, we were both wrong. Gaia doesn't have an orb, but she's definitely the type of character which could've had one.

I played it very little about 2-3 years ago, when I went through over 1000 MSX1 games on my livestreams. That font was so hilariously unreadable that I had to take a screenshot for my personal collection.
