I've been in a design rut lately but I decided to mix things up and design a Mario Maker 2 level. Give it a go if you're bored!

I'm incredibly humbled to have Delver winning the Theme Award and Replay Value Award. For me, this is just the beginning. I will continue to develop and improve Delver for a (hopeful) commercial release someday.

Gearing up to present my board game at a local design competition, later this month. I'm both excited and filled with trepidation. After the competition is over, it's going back to the drawing board for more revisions before it's truly ready for print.

Love this pics though!

Playtesting Delver in our local community was a huge hit! People had a lot of fun and we got a trove of solid feedback and suggestions for improvements.

Our first major playtest of Delver starts today! We're so excited to present our prototype to folks in our community. I'm hoping to get some good feedback and ideas from tonight

Do you ever lose your creativity for a project? Last month, we ended up getting stuck on the design of Bark Barons, and thought we would have to put our board game design ambitions on pause.

But after a little bit of miniature painting, we have returned to work on a new game: Delver!

The aperiodic monotile experiment was a success for Bark Barons! The hat tile makes for a very organic looking shape that can be titled randomly. Now we can start bringing in other mechanics like weather and lords.

After discussing ways to do board tiles for Bark Barons, we came across the Einstein Hat Tile. This looks promising for the development of our game but I think a challenge will be how to communicate rules on how to place tiles. It does look neat though. ✂️🎲

I began designing Bark Barons a month ago with a friend of mine. One thing we weren't prepared for was how bad a first draft of a game really is!

But we didn't let that discourage us. Less than a week of rapid prototyping brought us from an awful concept to something workable.

Keep choppin'! 🎲✂️
