I completely forgot to post this here, but I recently received "An Illustrated Guide to Japanese God's and Shrines"(日本の神様と神社の教科書), a book written by Shibuya Nobuhiro(渋谷 申博), a researcher in the history of religions who continues to conduct field research at jinja (神社) and otera(お寺) throughout Japan.

Today I practiced making shide (紙垂), a zigzag paper on a shimenawa rope (注連縄) or other sacred objects (in my case a sakaki branch 榊) that signifies the sacred power/presence of Kami-sama.
This is much better than my very first attempts (*﹏*;)

I practiced folding shikigami (敷紙) paper for the sanbo (三方) offering trays.
I am incredibly grateful to @livingwithkami.bsky.social for the guidance on how to do it as correctly and formally as possible.
It's still not perfect, so I need time to study and practice (^_^メ)

I continue to add Shinto books to my small collection.
Today I received the "New Guide to the Etiquette of Holding Shrine Ceremonies and Festivals" (新神社祭式行事作法教本) written by Numabe Harutomo (沼部 春友), an honorable guji (宮司) of Suga Jinja (須賀神社).

Received two wonderful books written by Yamaguchi Satoshi (山口智), a senior priest of Mishima Jinja (三島神社).
