Also Naho Ooishi was the artist behind the manga version of the Tarble special so she's responsible for his manga appearance more strongly resembling Vegeta (and not prototype Cabba or dollar store Gohan).

And he is a Toriyama-created character, so denying that he's canon is in fact disrespecting the man himself, TOEI.

I mean I probably could! There was already stuff that they tried to pitch/get past the networks but couldn't, and there was ALWAYS some thing in 90s cartoons where they were like "okay you gotta add a kid for da kids watchin' now".

I've had this SWAT Kats OC for a minute and I swear I could probably write her whole narrative while pretending it's a failed pitch for a "kid sidekick" character.
(Not really a "kid" though so much as "depressed college student")
